A Small Girl’s Dream and this Blog!!!

Have you ever wondered how to find purpose of your life?? I believe most of the times its linked to what you are passionate about. And we are very close to realising that purpose or passion when we are kids. Most of our childhood dream are actually related to what we are really passionate about and thus closely liked to our purpose of life.

If you have read my About Me page, I have mentioned there that this blog is my way of achieving a childhood dream I had. So I thought let me share that dream with you..

The Childhood Dream

When I was in my teenage or may be even before that, may be around the age of 8 to 10 years, I had this dream. The dream of standing up in-front of a big crowd and motivate them with my speech. I used to stand in front of mirror and act like giving speech with lot of happiness. I day dreamed about people coming and telling me “because of you I found hope in life and didn’t give up”. Just those dreams itself used to give me so much of happiness.

And at that age I was very sure this is something I wanted to do in my life.

But, like many of you I also had my share of roller coasters in my life and somewhere in the ride I missed this dream. You know our mind (or is that the heart), is a very cunning fellow. It won’t allow you to forget something you wished so deep inside you. Each time when I watch an outstanding speech by someone which gives me goosebumps, I used to ask myself will I be able to do this at-least one time in my life. But by the time the goosebumps are gone, the childhood dream also will take a backseat. 

The Trigger for the new start

Then all of a sudden we were all in the grip of Corona. We started living a new way of life – Doing everything at home itself. School, College, Office and not to mention the never ending household works. Managing a baby and a toddler together with office and household work was never an easy task. It really took a toll on my physical and mental health. Stress was at the extreme.

I felt I would loose myself if I don’t do anything for myself or if I don’t have some personal time.

Thats when I took the pen again, after so many long years… 

After finishing my article (or scribbling you can call), I felt a kind of satisfaction or happiness or relaxation after so many years… I believe it is those rare scenarios where stress did something good for me 🙂

When my husband read what I had written he asked me why cant we make this as a blog or vlog. Suddenly that old dream came back to my mind and I said yes, we can try. Then we started a vlog but I couldn’t continue that much because shooting with kids were really troublesome. But I keep continue writing. So a few months back I suddenly had a thought – if not vlog, why cant I start a blog?? Since it will allow me to work whenever I can and also can manage most of the work by myself.

So here I am trying to achieve my dream in whatever way possible. After all, for that small girl all these possibilities of technology was not known then right?

So What I want to tell you is….

The reason why I thought of sharing this story of mine with you today is – of course not to make you feel bored of listening to my story. But to give you hope and confidence that we can go after our dreams anytime and at any age. 

ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO START AGAIN..

As of now I don’t know how far I will be able to go. But each positive comment on my posts is a proof that I achieved my dream in whatever way possible. 

Even though I don’t have a big stage and audience right in front of me, I believe one day I will also be speaking to many people through this blog and even though people may not come and tell me directly “because of your words I found hope in life and didn’t give up” they still will feel that in their heart. Like the saying, what goes around comes around – I believe I will come to know those good things in some way because the Universe is designed like that. 

So what are you waiting for??

Dig into your past and find out that missing childhood dream or passion or that missing old self of yours who was so sure of achieving something..
